The weather warning for extreme heat has been issued for many parts of Essex from 9am on Wednesday until 9pm on Thursday.
This means that severe impacts are expected across health and social care, with an increased risk to life, particularly among older people and those with underlying conditions, but also healthy people.
By Friday, temperatures are expected to be less warm but there will still be highs of 32 degrees in some areas.
